Labor Day !!

Happy Labor Day Everyone! This weeks challenge is to create something related to labor day!

This card is made and dedicated to all the men and women in Law Enforcement!
So many years My husband and I worked Thanksgiving, Christmas, Birthdays, Family Reunions, and back to back 18 hour shifts.
Each day they sacrifice time away from their families protecting us, many complete strangers from harm. Some even make the ultimate sacrifice and that is what this card is for. The NLEOM stands for the National Law Enforcement Officer Memorial. Their symbol is the badge with a rose through it.

I created this card with Independence Day for the Flag, Everyday Paper Dolls for the badge, and Indie Art for the rose. Also used was the Distressing stripes Cuttlebug embossing folder. I also used rhinestones and red and green stickles for the rose.

SO the next time you see a Police Officer, Fireman, or Soldier take a minute to thank them for their service. They are putting their life in harms way to save and protect what is most dear to us, our families.
If you would like to participate in this weeks challenge please join us over at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog !!!

Happy Anniversary Honey!!!

So today is my 9th Anniversary! My husband and I always joke with each other and have given each other rude cards, thats just the way we roll ☺

So I decided to make him a funny but serious card. Yes that is him laying on the asphalt with blood and scratches on his face, He was in a motorcycle accident several years ago and of course I took pictures and scrapbooked the entire event....(what scrapbooker wouldn't?)

So I decided to make him this card and write inside "For Better or Worse I will always Love you! Happy 9th Anniversary!"

This card was made with the Everday Paper Doll cartridge. Enjoy!

Peachy Keen Challenge

!

The is my first PK challenge and I got a little more involved than I had planned LOL ! I made a 12x12 shadow box for my daughters room. She has been wanting a puppy so of course we got her one!
I used 6 different cartridges plus the PK-146 puppy face stamps.
The windows I used foam adhesive squares to pop it off the page. It was tricky to make these simple looking windows. I used the Christmas cricut cartridge with my gypsy to weld two other windows together and taking the bigger panes of the window out.
For the dogs I used Animal Kingdom, Sweethearts, and EveryDay Paper Dolls cricut cartridges.
Then Home Decor was used for the tags and Just because Cards for the photo mats. I also used the gypsy for the photo mats to customize them
